NEVBRC Strategic Partners

The American Legion. The Northeast Veterans Business Resource Center has a formal relationship with the American Legion. NEVBRC conducts training programs, supports Heroes to Hometown, Veteran Employment fairs and holds the Vice Chairmanship of their National Small Business Task Force. NEVBRC CEO writes a business column for the Legion Magazine and consults regarding draft legislation.
The U.S. Small Business Administration. NEVBRC currently supports and partners with Region I U.S. SBA office. We co-facilitate training programs, outreach events and seminars. NEVBRC is a long standing partner and resource for Region I SBA.
Service Corps of retired Executives. NEVBRC maintains a SCORE staff relationship and holds the New England region SCORE veteran representative position. NEVBRC also holds a SCORE Cyber Chapter seat.
The Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities. Syracuse Universities Whitman School of Management and the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). NEVBRC has participated in teaching this program and has partnered with the EBV program to provide prospective candidates for this project.
U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Compensated Work Therapy Program (CWT), Veterans Construction Team. NEVBRC has a signed Strategic Alliance Memorandum in place for the express purpose of sharing resources and training veterans interested in employment or self employment in the construction industry. The Veterans Construction Team is a nationally recognized CWT program.
Local and national senatorial and congressional offices. NEVBRC has become a valued resource for state and federal legislative offices, providing; advice, research, current statistical trends regarding veterans and their family members. These offices also refer clients to our center.
General Services Administration. NEVBRC has been a valued partner with Region I and National Region GSA for many years. We have co-facilitated training events and are frequent guest speakers at each other’s events. NEVBRC has such a close relationship with GSA that we have been issued a personalized account by which we can order training materials directly.
Department of Treasury Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization. NEVBRC has had the Director of the OSDBU office as a guest speaker at a number of our seminars as well as a guest mentor at our FastTrack Small Business Training program. Treasury works with NEVBRC cooperatively and sends updates, notices and procurement opportunities on a regular basis.
National Archives and Records Administration. NEVBRC has a long standing history of speaking at all of NARA’s veterans events. The Regional Director has developed a strong professional relationship with NEVBRC and relies on our center to provide timely and informative sessions at NARA events.
Greater Boston Federal Executive Board. The FEB was established to promote grass roots interaction between federal executives and local communities outside the National Capitol Region. NEVBRC has been an established resource in the northeast for the FEB and continues to consult for and advise the Greater Boston FEB on matters regarding veterans and veteran businesses.
Student Veterans of America. SVA is one of the newest veteran service organizations within our community and is primarily comprised of Iraq and Afghanistan era veterans. This organization has relied heavily on NEVBRC as they put together their first national SVA symposium. SVA and NEVBRC have worked closely together and continue to assist each other through administrative support, training and mentoring.
Welcome Back Veterans initiative. The McCormack Foundation and Major League Baseball teamed together to create philanthropic opportunities for nonprofit organizations to develop outreach and assistive programs for veterans and their family members. NEVBRC has been personally invited to partner and collaborate with the McCormack Foundation to build capacity and enhance our infrastructure and capabilities.
National Association of State Department of Veterans Affairs. The NASDVA has developed a relationship with NEVBRC and has invited us to speak at their 2009 National Convention. The excitement displayed by the State Directors in response to our presentation was so enthusiastic that several States now want to start entrepreneurial programs in their respective states.
The Elite SDVOB Network. The Elite SDVOB Network is a veteran business membership organization that primarily concentrates on state level relationships and procurement. NEVBRC has worked so well with this organization that they have been invited to charter a Northeast chapter. NEVBRC chose to decline the offer due to a restriction in available resources but still maintains a strong working relationship with the organization.
Boeing Corporation. Boeing has been a strong supporter of NEVBRC and recently donated more than $30,000 to assist us through a grant poor season. Boeing remains a strong corporate supporter and is looking forward to future relationship building.
Citrix Corporation. Citrix Corporation sponsored our first Boston to Baghdad online veterans business training program and have been loyal supporters of NEVBRC ever since. By donating many of their software applications and launching NEVBRC on a national media campaign, Citrix Corporation is responsible for donating over $100,000 in cash and in-kind donations to NEVBRC.
Hewlett Packard Corporation. HP has supported NEVBRC by outfitting our Massachusetts training center with more than $40,000 worth of computers, printers and associated information technology equipment. In addition, HP has donated $20,000 in cash and has dedicated staff personnel to assist NEVBRC in outreach and training efforts.
Northrop Grumman Corporation. NGC developed a partnership with NEVBRC in 2007. NEVBRC has been a keynote speaker at NGC small business banquets and in 2008 NGC sponsored a Veterans Business Matchmaking event that resulted in major prime vendor contracts for at least 13 NEVBRC client veteran owned companies. The event was so successful that NGC has budgeted to repeat the event again in November 2009.
Verizon Corporation. Verizon has been a loyal supporter of NEVBRC and our mission for several years. Through a cash donation of $25,000, NEVBRC has been able to assist recovering service disabled veterans access entrepreneurial endeavors by using technology.

Bank of New York Mellon. $2,000 cash supporter in 2008
The Small And Disadvantaged Business Utilization Consortium. SADBU has partnered with NEVBRC to provide outreach, training and procurement technical assistance to NEVBRC clients. Development of capability statements, matchmaking and business promotion are just a few of the comprehensive services SADBU provides our clients.
At Ease Strategic Communications. At Ease LLC and their strategic partner Eyeflow Communications have provided NEVBRC with thousands of dollars in in-kind support.
The Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network. The SBDC in Massachusetts has been a strong supporter of NEVBRC since our formation in 2005. Recent developments regarding grant opportunities and NEVBRC’s status has strengthened our relationship and has the two organizations now discussing joint grant collaborations.
Presidential Volunteer Service Center. NEVBRC was recently approved is an authorized certifying Organization for the Presidential Volunteer Service Award Program. NEVBRC has now begun registering volunteers, certifying hours and ordering presidential citations and awards for volunteers who meet specific volunteer criteria.
The Northeast Veterans Business Resource Center. NEVBRC maintains a number of other partnerships and relationships which further strengthen our offerings and structural support.
