Putting Unemployed Veterans To Work On Northeast Dairy Farms
The Agri-Mark farm families who own the brands Cabot and McCadam cheese want to do their part for America’s unemployed and homeless veterans. They also need folks to help them on their family farms. Five Agri-Mark farmers have stepped up to train, pay and house veterans willing to work hard. Farmers know the powerful impact of working closely with family and animals. Veterans employed through this program have an opportunity for meaningful work that the farmers hope makes a difference in their lives.

With Your Help...
As you know, funding for the NEVBRC from the SBA was not renewed, severely crippling our ability to help deserving veterans in the New England region. The closest veteran outreach organization is now located in Syracuse, New York.
However, there is a chance that we can continue on in a limited capacity – but we need your help.
The NEVBRC has launched a GoFundMe campaign to try and raise a minimum yearly operating budget of $150,000.00. We’re seeking businesses in the area that support our veterans and want to help them succeed. We are in desperate need of funds to help us keep the lights on and maintain at least some of our outreach efforts across the region. If you know of any veteran-friendly firms or businesses willing to help us, please let us know, or direct them to our campaign. Since 2007, we have worked with almost 8,000 veterans. It would be a shame to see this come to an end.
Please donate! http://www.gofundme.com/nevbrc
If you or someone you know can help with our fundraising efforts, please contact me at wpwise@gmail.com or phone 617-532-0918. Thank you, and I wish you much success in your ventures.

Budget Blinds Offering Vets Franchises With No Initial Entry Fee
Budget Blinds, a custom window covering franchise and Home Franchise Concepts brand, is proud to announce the launch of its Troops in Transition program, which provides Veterans who have left active duty within the past two years, an opportunity to own a franchise with no initial entry fee. Veterans selected to participate in the Troops in Transition program will go through a six-month trial period as a franchisee where they are required to meet financial milestones set by the Budget Blinds corporate team. Upon meeting these goals, Veterans will be signed as a traditional Budget Blinds franchise owner. The program removes a significant barrier of $75,000 that would traditionally be required to become a Budget Blinds franchisee.
4 Business Funding Programs for Veterans
There are more than 2.4 million businesses operated by veterans nationwide, according to the SBA 2012 Veterans Report. Despite this growing trend towards entrepreneurship, funding options that specifically benefit veterans are difficult to find. Here are four unique funding programs if you are a veteran starting or expanding your business.
